New Build Process

1. Initial Consultation / Information Gathering
Welcome to the initial consultation phase of your build process! This is the first step in bringing your vision to life, and it’s crucial for setting the foundation of the project. During this phase, we will:

We'll begin by discussing your ideas, goals, and expectations for the project. Whether you’re designing a new structure or renovating an existing one, understanding your vision ensures we align the project with your needs and desires.
Assess Site & Project Requirements
We’ll examine the location of the build, including access points, site conditions, and any environmental factors that could impact the design or construction process. This includes reviewing any zoning or regulatory requirements that need to be addressed.
Budget and Timeline Discussion
Together, we’ll establish a preliminary budget and timeline for the project. We’ll go over your financial expectations and discuss any flexibility that may be required, ensuring that the project is completed within a feasible scope.
Preliminary Design & Conceptual Ideas
This is the stage where we can sketch out initial concepts or preliminary designs. We’ll discuss the general layout, aesthetics, and style that you envision for the project.
Next Steps
After gathering all the necessary information, we will outline the next steps in the process, including obtaining permits, formalising designs, and preparing for construction.
This consultation is key to ensuring the project is off to a strong start, aligning your ideas with practical solutions. We’ll make sure to address any concerns, answer questions, and clarify details throughout the process.
2. Preliminary Design & Budget
We will involve our architects to kick off the design phase of your project, creating elevations and floor plans that will give you a clear vision of how the project will take shape. Additionally, we will provide you with a preliminary cost estimate to give you a better understanding of the financial scope.
3. Preliminary Proposal including design and budget review
After that, we will arrange a meeting with you to go over your feedback on the design and budget in detail. During this discussion, we’ll listen to your thoughts, concerns, and any adjustments you’d like to make. We understand that it’s important for the design to reflect your vision, so we’ll work collaboratively to refine and make any necessary changes to both the design and budget, ensuring everything aligns with your goals and expectations before moving forward.
4. Architect / Draftsperson to draw full set of plans & Submit to council
The architect will then create a complete set of detailed plans, incorporating all adjustments made during the review process. Once the plans are finalised, we will submit them to the local council for approval and consenting. This step ensures that the project meets all regulatory requirements and can move forward smoothly into the next phase of construction.
5. Project pricing & presentation
Once the plans are approved, we will begin the pricing process for your project. We’ll provide you with a detailed cost estimate, outlining all aspects of the build. Along with the pricing, we’ll present a comprehensive build schedule, outlining key milestones and timelines, so you’ll have a clear understanding of the project's timeline and budget from start to finish.
6. Contract signing
Once you’ve reviewed the pricing and build schedule, we’ll move forward with the signing of the contract. This formal agreement will outline the final details of the project, including the scope of work, costs, timeline, and any other terms to ensure everything is clear and agreed upon. Once signed, we can officially begin the construction phase and start bringing your vision to life.
